PIH Named Best Business At Awards Night

Burnley-based Pipeline Induction Heat (PIH), the world’s leading field joint coating company, is celebrating after scooping two prestigious awards at Thursday night’s (20 June) Burnley Business Awards.

The company was shortlisted for the ‘Apprenticeship Scheme of the Year’ and ‘Burnley Business of the Year’ awards, taking first place in both categories at the ceremony, which was held at the town’s Townley Hall.

Said PIH Managing Director, Paul McShane: “We’re absolutely thrilled to have won both categories. We had some incredibly tough competition from other fantastic businesses, but we are just delighted to have been recognised for our Apprenticeship Scheme – something we have worked hard to develop to ensure our apprentices receive the best hands-on training.

“Last year we celebrated 30 years in Burnley, so scooping the ‘Burnley Business of the Year’ award was really just the icing on the cake!”

The awards, which took place in Burnley’s Townley Hall, celebrates and acknowledges the achievements of local businesses and individuals. The sponsored event is organised by Burnley Council and the Burnley Bondholder Brand Scheme to promote the town’s business success and the borough’s economic infrastructure.
