PIH Apprentices Complete Course in Double-Quick Time
Apprentices at Burnley-based Pipeline Induction Heat (PIH) are celebrating after completing their apprenticeships in double-quick time.
Kerrie Appleby, James Gregson and Emily Edwards all completed their Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeships in just 14 months, 10 months ahead of the average 24 months it can take to complete the course.
Joining the business in the Summer of 2017, Kerrie and James gained valuable experience within the proposals department, and Emily assisted in the commercial department, while studying at Burnley College.
Said PIH md, Paul McShane: “We are so proud of all our apprentices and the speed in which they have finished the course is down to the hard work and determination that Kerrie, Emily and James have all put in, while working within the company and studying at college.”
As a result, all three former apprentices have been offered permanent positions at PIH, which is one of the world’s leading specialist field joint coating companies.
James and Kerrie will continue working within the proposals department as trainee proposals engineers and Emily will support the project delivery teams as commercial assistant.
